We are about to begin a New Year, so as we do I suggest that we take this opportunity to let the past go! Let old hurts go, let past grudges go, let past failures go, let past disappointments go\u2026LET IT GO!<\/p>\n
If we want our New Year to be amazing and incredible, which I would hope we all want, then the only way to make that happen is to let the past go and look forward to the future with faith, anticipation, and excitement! One of my favorite poems is the poem that reminds us to quit looking back and stay focused on our future:<\/p>\n
As you travel through life there are always those times<\/p>\n
When decisions just have to be made,<\/p>\n
When the choices are hard, and solutions seem scarce,<\/p>\n
And the rain seems to soak your parade.<\/p>\n
There are some situations where all you can do<\/p>\n
Is simply let go and move on,<\/p>\n
Gather your courage and choose a direction<\/p>\n
That carries you toward a new dawn.<\/p>\n
So pack up your troubles and take a step forward<\/p>\n
The process of change can be tough,<\/p>\n
But think about all the excitement ahead<\/p>\n
There might be adventures you never imagined<\/p>\n
Just waiting around the next bend,<\/p>\n
And wishes and dreams just about to come true<\/p>\n
In ways you can\u2019t yet comprehend!<\/p>\n
Perhaps you\u2019ll find friendships that spring from new things<\/p>\n
As you challenge your status quo,<\/p>\n
And learn there are so many options in life,<\/p>\n
Perhaps you\u2019ll go places you never expected<\/p>\n
And see things that you\u2019ve never seen,<\/p>\n
Or travel to fabulous, faraway worlds<\/p>\n
And wonderful spots in between!<\/p>\n
Perhaps you\u2019ll find warmth and affection and caring<\/p>\n
And somebody special who\u2019s there<\/p>\n
To help you stay cantered and listen with interest<\/p>\n
To stories and feelings you share.<\/p>\n
Perhaps you\u2019ll find comfort in knowing your friends<\/p>\n
Are supportive of all that you do,<\/p>\n
And believe that whatever decisions you make,<\/p>\n
They\u2019ll be the right choices for you.<\/p>\n
So keep putting one foot in front of the other,<\/p>\n
And taking your life day by day\u2026<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a brighter tomorrow that\u2019s just down the road \u2013<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t look back! You\u2019re not going that way!<\/p>\n
