Perhaps my love for the weekends started when I was a child. Every Saturday morning we awoke to the smell of Mom\u2019s pancakes\u2026.oh how I miss those Saturday morning pancakes being cooked by someone else! Somehow everything smells and tastes better when you don\u2019t have to cook it yourself. And then you add to that the fact that there was no school and a huge yard just waiting for you to come out and play softball and a driveway that served as a blank canvas for you to draw chalk cities and ride your bike on…ah yes, it is easy to see where my love of weekends first began.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s funny how as an adult the knowledge that the weekend is almost here helps you get through those long miserable weeks where you feel like you are about to drown. By Thursday morning you start giving yourself the pep talk\u2026\u201dJust one more day to go and then the weekend is almost here\u2026\u201d and it gives you just enough steam to keep going for just a little longer until that glorious thing called Friday finally arrives. And even though Friday is still a work day, just knowing that your weekend starts that night makes that entire day seem so much happier!<\/p>\n
