Someone once told me that holding in a compliment that someone else deserves is like buying them a gift and not giving it to them. It really made me stop and think about all the times I had thought a kind thought about a person but didn’t share it with them.

Whether it’s a small compliment like “cute outfit” or “nice smile”, or something bigger like “great job today” or “you did amazing”…whenever we have a kind thought about another come into our head we should express it! And for those who are too shy to say a compliment out loud, you can always give it in a text message or send it in a handwritten note. They also enhance our own self-confidence. Giving a genuine compliment requires us to look for the good in others. In doing so, we also start to see the good in ourselves. We realize that we are all on the same journey together and that each of us has value to share with the world.” (excerpt from article by Margaret Manning)

I love that! And what time is better to amp up your compliments to others than the week of Thanksgiving! What a great way to show that you are thankful to others for the good they bring into this world.
