I don\u2019t know about you but I am more than ready to say goodbye to those April Showers and hello to those May Flowers!\u00a0 I am SO READY for warm spring weather and sunshine! Plus May is full of fun reasons for all of us to celebrate \u2013 for example:\u00a0 Not only is May National BBQ Month, it is also National Hamburger Month, which both just happen to go fabulously together. And on top of that, May is Date Your Mate Month, which means it is time to step up the dating game in your marriage and take your spouse out on real dates (\u2026and grocery shopping together does not constitute an actual date so you are going to have to do better than that this month\u2026). If you really want to get crazy with your Month of May celebrations you can even take your spouse on a date to a park where you can BBQ some hamburgers together!<\/p>\n
As you know I am a firm believer if having fun things on the calendar to look forward to. We all need reasons to plan fun events and schedule little parties on our calendars so we are certain to always have something to look forward. It helps make life HAPPIER!<\/p>\n
Here are some fun dates to plan celebrations in May:<\/p>\n
May 1st<\/sup>\u00a0 is full of reasons to celebrate!:<\/p>\n Global Love Day \u2013 a day for everyone around the world to love unconditionally<\/p>\n May Day \u2013 Celebrate Springtime by leaving a basket of flowers or treats at someone\u2019s door.<\/p>\n National Loyalty Day \u2013 a day to reaffirm our loyalty to our country and to recognize the heritage of American Freedom<\/p>\n May 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0: \u00a0 Brothers and Sisters Day \u2013 This is a day to cherish your siblings so plan to do something to celebrate being siblings.<\/p>\n May 4th<\/sup>\u00a0: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Star Wars Day –\u00a0 This holiday stems from the famous quote, “May the Force (Fourth) be with you”. This is a day to celebrate all things Star Wars by watching the movie or having a Star Wars party!<\/p>\n National Day of Prayer \u2013 this holiday is to encourage all of us to pray, meditate, and repent.<\/p>\n May 5th<\/sup>: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Cinco de Mayo \u2013 this is a day to celebrate Hispanic culture with song, dance, and party!<\/p>\n National Hoagie Day \u2013 go eat a yummy hoagie sandwich today!<\/p>\n May 6th<\/sup>\u00a0: \u00a0 \u00a0 International No Diet Day \u2013 this is a day to appreciate your body the way it is.<\/p>\n May 10th<\/sup>\u00a0: \u00a0 Clean Up Your Room Day\u00a0 – spring cleaning time is upon us so start scrubbing!<\/p>\n May 14th<\/sup>\u00a0: \u00a0 Mother\u2019s Day!<\/span>\u00a0 – This is a big one so make sure you are making plans in advance for how to let your Moms know that you love and appreciate them.<\/p>\n May 18th<\/sup>: \u00a0 \u00a0Visit Your Relatives Day \u2013 This is a day to go and visit your relatives and reconnect with them.<\/p>\n May 20th<\/sup>: \u00a0 \u00a0Armed Forces Day \u2013 a day to celebrate all those who are faithfully serving their country.<\/p>\n May 23rd<\/sup>: \u00a0 \u00a0Lucky Penny Day \u2013 find a penny because today those pennies are going to bring you good luck.<\/p>\n May 29th<\/sup>\u00a0: \u00a0 \u00a0Memorial Day!<\/span><\/p>\n I love having reasons to celebrate! \u00a0I love that it’s May and I love that we get to open up our swimming pool tomorrow!
