Weighing the pros and cons can seem overwhelming, and thinking about all the “what ifs” can fill you with fear to the point of not being able to decide. But realize that not deciding often ends up making the decision for us as firmly as making a decision ourselves.

When you we are faced with decisions try asking yourself what you will regret more, and which feeling seems like it would be worse regarding the decision…perhaps that will shed light on which direction you are wanting to go. Then ask yourself if that direction is in line with your core values and if it is in line with your true priorities.

I try to keep a few quotes handy that remind me of my true priorities such as this one:

“At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.” -Barbara Bush

And I always be sure to pray about my decisions once I’ve made them to let God know of my choice and to ask Him to please stop me if the choice I’ve made is wrong.

Finally, we must consider the 3 C’s of life: Choices, Chances, Changes

“You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change.”

Have the courage to make a choice.
