I consider those people my heroes.” – Fred Rogers

Last weekend was the Fall Conference for the UVU Woodbury School of Business National Advisory Board. It was an amazing conference. Watching this group of incredibly successful people come together, donating of their time, talents and resources for the sole purpose of helping the students of the University is so inspiring. These individuals serving on the board could be doing a million other things with their time, yet they choose to spend their time giving back and serving others. That’s what makes them heroes.

In the last year and a half since this board was formed these board members have made a huge impact on the University. They have helped launch new programs that benefit the students, they have provided much needed scholarships to young women and single mothers, they have funded numerous faculty projects, and have provided hours of mentoring and guidance. The impact this group is making is incredible…they are truly changing lives.

The majority of these board members had no tie to the University prior to coming on the board, they simply saw a need and wanted to make a difference. They wanted to do good. They wanted to work alongside other like-minded people who are in it for the right reasons…to help…to give back…to make a difference…

“Great things are brought about and burdens are lightened through the efforts of many hands anxiously engaged in a good cause.” –M.
