When Life Gets Tough Remember It’s Just A Storm You Are Braving And You Don’t Have To Brave It Alone

I love Sunday because it’s always my day I get to refuel my spirituality tank. I’m really grateful I am able to attend church each Sunday as it give me the chance to hear inspiring messages and helps me put everything in my life in perspective by reminding me of my core values and priorities.

Today a young woman sang a beautiful rendition of a song I had never heard before. The lyrics were really touching as they pointed out that when we are going through really difficult things in life we should remember that it’s just a storm we are braving and it’s okay to lean on God and family members or friends to help us through our hard because “we all need saving sometimes”.

I needed that message today. I tend to be someone who holds her hurts in, and while I am quick to share my hurts with God and lean on Him, I’m not as good at sharing my hurts with others and leaning on them for support.  So I’m grateful for the reminder this song gives that hard times are just storms we are braving and we don’t have to brave those storms alone.

I found a video online that plays the song and I included the lyrics below. It’s worth listening to the song.

We All Need Saving  (by:  Jonathan Michael McLaughlin)

You have got to move on
This is not the you I know
This isn’t real
It’s just all you can feel
And that’s the way that feelings go

And whether or not it’s right or wrong
You’ll do what you will do

But when the cloud in the sky starts to pour in your life
Its just a storm you’re braving
Well don’t tell yourself
You can’t lean on someone
Cause we all need saving

Sometimes

Say what you will
But the time that we fill
While we are on the Earth
Should not be alone
We were meant to be known
You make me what I’m worth
But I can’t keep you from yourself
You’ll do what you will do

But when the cloud in the sky starts to pour in your life
Its just a storm you’re braving
Well don’t tell yourself
You can’t lean on someone
Cause we all need saving

And I don’t know
Why it has to be this way
And I don’t know
The cure
But please believe someone else has felt this before

But when the cloud in the sky starts to pour in your life
Its just a storm you’re braving
Well don’t tell yourself
You can’t lean on someone
Cause we all need saving

We all need saving
Sometimes
Sometimes
