Save the Date for REES Capital’s Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting!

January 4th will be the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the new REES (Recognizing and Empowering Entrepreneurial Success) Capital offices!  We are very appreciative that the Governor of Utah himself will be coming to do the official ribbon cutting with us, along with many other dignitaries.  We are honored that they will join us for such a special occasion. The ribbon cutting will take place at 4pm sharp.  We will open our doors around 3:30pm to allow people to begin arriving and the official ceremony will be at 4pm.  We will then take people through our new offices to see how it all turned out.  Following that there will be great snacks and music and plenty of fabulous networking going on from 4-6pm that afternoon.   It should be a fantastic event!  We hope to have all our friends join us that day.

It is so exciting that we are almost settled into our new offices.  It has been a tremendous amount of work to finish out our space, order all the furniture, and find the perfect decorations to don our walls.  We may have gone just a teeny little bit overboard in making it FABULOUS, but come on would those who know us have expected anything less??  And it is definitely FABULOUS!  We love it.  There are still a few little details to get worked out and several shipments that should have arrived, but haven’t…argh..shipping furniture around the holidays may not have been our best idea yet, but we will keep our fingers crossed.

We had planned to do the Grand Opening before Christmas, but with my daughter’s knee surgery on Tuesday of this week we decided to put it off until after the holiday when she will be back walking again to join in the festivities that day.  Keep her in your prayers this week if you would.  It is always nerve racking to have your child go under anesthesia for surgery, so any prayers are appreciated.

I am actually excited we moved the event to January 4th because it is the PERFECT way to kick off the New Year.  2012 was full of huge changes in my life, from selling my company to transitioning out, to launching a new business, to sending my son out on a mission, to setting up my new charity…it was a year full of major changes for me.  2012 was my year of changes and 2013 is going to be my year of new and exciting adventure.  My theme for 2013 is “Helping Others to Excel”.  And all that I do will be to fulfill that mission statement.  It is going to be a marvelous year full of wonders and I cannot wait to have it begin.  But for now I will focus on appreciating this Christmas Holiday and the time I have to spend it with my daughter and my husband.  Even if my daughter will be stuck in a hospital bed for most of it, I am determined to make it her best Christmas EVER!  With plenty of love and laughter and great friends.

Have a great Monday everyone!

~Amy

    Have a wonderful 2013!

Hope your daughter gets well quickly (try “Arnica”-a Homeopathic remedy after the surgery).

    Amy,
My prayers will be with your family on Tuesday. I know all too well the strain it puts on someone when a loved one is having medical issues. With two medically fragile children, I used this phrase often, “Thank Heaven, Domino’s Delivers.”

Grand opening on a great wonderful day. Ok Having a party on my birthday for a special occasion for you is awesome. Wish I was there to see it….. Ashley hope things go well and you and your family are in my thoughts as you go through the surgery. Amy I am with you on different things going good as I started 2012 saying the year of the firsts or redoing the stuff we like doing. I plan on doing more of the same thing in 2013. I can not wait to see what new year will bring.
