Guess what?? Today is National Vanilla Milkshake Day! YEEE HAWWW 🙂
Why am I so excited about that, you ask? Because I LOVE ice cream! That’s why. So when I heard that today was National Milkshake Day I thought, “What could be better than that?!”
You see, I growing up in the Rees Family, ice cream was a member of the family. We’d eat a bowl of ice cream before bedtime just about every single night growing up. To this day my father still has his bowl of ice cream before bedtime… but that didn’t just start with my father – his father loved ice cream, and his father, and so on and so on….that is a family tradition that goes way back.
If ever I’m having a bad day, an ice cream cone is the perfect cure. If my husband and I have a disagreement (not that that ever happens…smirk) he knows that coming home with some Daiquiri Ice Ice Cream from Baskin Robbins is the perfect way to smooth things over…I don’t know if it’s the taste of the ice cream that makes everything better, or if it’s the memories of happy childhood days that put a big smile on my face when I eat it. All I know is that I LOVE IT!

Amen to that!!! Ice cream is the perfect cure for just about any of life’s woes. So stop whatever you are doing right now and go and get yourself a big thing of ice cream in honor of National Vanilla Milkshake Day! It’s the perfect way to kick-off your Summer 2019! June 21st baby!!! Summer is officially HERE! YIPPPPEEEEE!!!
