This entire year has already felt like one big scary Halloween movie so I decided I’m jumping to Christmas! Yesterday I put on Mariah Carey’s Christmas album and sang my lungs out in the shower and my spirits immediately began lifting….
By afternoon I had my husband hauling in boxes of Christmas decorations from the attic so I could get started on putting Christmas decorations up. I began with the Christmas tree since that takes me the longest and I am happy to report it is set in the stand and ready for ornaments.
When my grandkids came over last night we all danced around as we sang Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Then we looked through Disney’s website together to start making their wish list of what they are hoping to get from their Grannie-Claus 🙂
My daughter and her husband came over after church today so we could all watch the very first Hallmark Christmas Movie of the 2020 season together. Watching Hallmark Christmas movies with my daughter is a tradition she and I’ve had ever since she was a little girl and its one of my very favorites.
I have to tell you, I’m so happy I decided to jump to Christmas instead of waiting. There is such a feeling of joy the Christmas Spirit brings into a home. And right now we could all use a little more joy in our lives, so bust out your decorations and light up your trees! Then pour a cup of hot cocoa and put tons of whipped cream on top because it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…YAY!!!
