IPOP Foundation Encourages High School Students to Become Entrepreneurs!

Today was awesome!  Our charity, the IPOP Foundation (, which stands for “In Pursuit of Perfection” hosted our Mobile App competition at Alta High School with the help of Principal Fidel Montero, a huge advocate of entrepreneurship. The charity is focused on promoting, educating, and perpetuating entrepreneurship as a pathway to self-reliance.  We challenged the kids to come up with their best mobile app idea and write up a business plan.  Then the kids had to prepare a pitch to present to an esteemed panel of Angel Investors who judged the competition.  We had over 400 kids submit ideas this year and from those 400 there were ten selected to present on stage during an assembly with over 800 kids from the school and a panel of Angel Investor judges.  Casey Scott, from KUTV News was our anchor and he did an awesome job.  We had amazing sponsors that donated prizes and giveaways to the students and there was $10,000 of prize money given away in the form of college scholarships and scholarships to Innovation Week at the University of Utah this summer.  Leo the Lion from the Real Soccer Team made an appearance during the halftime break to hype up the crowd.  The presenting students did an amazing job.  We had an amazing turnout to the event and multiple news stations were present to cover the event for us.  Here are links to just some of the news interviews and stories that reported on the event today:
