Welcome back everyone – I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday! I, for one, had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My husband and I didn’t have our kids this Thanksgiving as they were all at their in-laws, so the two of us decided to fly out to Dover, Delaware where we got together with two of my brothers and their families along with a cousin who all live back east. We ate food, played games, ate more, sang songs, ate even more, talked, and did I mention we ate? I ate so much food over the holiday that even my stretchy pants started begging for mercy! It was exactly what Thanksgiving should be…good food and great times with family.
But now that the weekend is over it’s time to start working off all the calories we consumed. And what better way to burn those calories than doing some shopping?! A study reported that a typical woman burns 48,000 calories a year shopping which tells you it’s a great form of exercise! Given, they didn’t mention online shopping in the study but certainly they meant for it to be included… After all, your fingers have to fly across the keyboard to search all the online deals for hours on end…then there is the clicking the “add to cart” button over and over and over again…not to mention how fast your heart beat races as you work to beat the countdown clocks on every website so you can get all checked out before all the Cyber Monday deals come to an end… Online shopping is a definite workout if you do it right!
It’s never fun for a holiday to come to an end and its never easy to go back to regular life after having so much fun, but we are now one week closer to Christmas so at least we have that to look forward to. But this Monday at least we have all kinds of cyber deals to look forward to so get your workout clothes on and hit those computers because it’s gonna be an add to cart workout kinda day 🙂
