The Thrill Of A Close Game

Tonight my husband and I were invited to join our friends in their suite at the arena for the Utah Jazz versus Golden State Warriors basketball game. It was a neck and neck game right down to the last minute when the Utah Jazz won the game.

As we were heading home from the game I couldn’t help but think how much more fun it is to watch a close game like that. Watching a game where one team just destroys the other team just isn’t fun to watch. But a neck and neck game where each team is really challenging the other team to step up their game and give it their all…well that’s exciting for everyone involved.

What it comes down to is that we shouldn’t fear competition. The competition helps motivate us to try harder and be better. That competition is what challenges us to step up our game and give it all we’ve got. And frankly even if you end up on the losing team at the end of the night you will still be better for having competed.

Thanks for a fabulous game tonight Utah Jazz and Golden State! You are both amazingly talented teams who are all kinds of fun to watch play.
