It’s Nothing A Slushee Can’t Fix

It’s amazing how the dumbest things can bring a smile to our face….For instance, I was getting ready for bed super late the other night and couldn’t stop craving a Slushee…7-eleven was closed so my husband tried grinding up ice cubes in the blender with some juice but that didn’t go so well. I knew there had to be a better way so I jumped on amazon at what was now 2am and searched for slushy maker. That’s when I saw it for the first time – the $22.00 Zoku Slush Cup. It said you pour your drink in the cup and seven minutes later, voila, a slushy. I was skeptical but it was 2am so I figured what the heck and ordered one for next day delivery…bless you Amazon for next day delivery…

I was so excited when the box arrived. I read the instructions – place the inner cup in freezer overnight, remove it from freezer and place it in outer cup so you can hold it without freezing your fingers, then pour in any non-diet drink (needs the sugar for it to work) and wait for seven minutes using the spoon it comes with to stir the drink every minute or so scraping the ice forming on the edges of the cup into the middle of the slush.

I was ready to go – I poured in my soda and waited with anticipation. I could hardly believe my eyes as a perfect slush began to form. Here’s a picture of my slush after scraping the sides for 7 minutes:

It was perfect!! Now if at this point you are wondering if I am getting paid by anyone to write about this slushee cup the answer is a resounding NO – I honestly have no idea who this company is and I’ve never done paid advertising in my blogs – all I know is there slushy cup works and it’s GENIUS!!! So, of course, I had to jump back on Amazon to order enough cups that my entire family could have their own to make themselves slushys whenever they are feeling down. With my recommendation that Rootbeer has been my favorite slush so far…SO GOOD!

When life gets tough, have a slushy…it helps!!!
