Don’t Lose Faith In Who You Are

“Don’t lose faith. Promise yourself that you will be a success story, and I promise you that all the forces of the universe will unite to come to your aid; you might not feel today or for a while, but the longer you wait the bigger the prize.”   – George Bernard Shaw

I love that quote so much.  It’s an important reminder, especially when there are so many challenges in life that can discourage us, beat us down, and become an impetus for our forgetting who we are.  I think sometimes life’s greatest challenge of all is in remembering exactly who we are!

And who are we? We are children of Heavenly Parents, which by divine birthright means that every single one of us came into this world having the inherited capacity to become gods and goddesses ourselves someday. And despite what we might lack physically, mentally, or temporally, none of those can limit the fact that every one of us was born with that same divine birthright and that same capacity for greatness. That’s who we are!!! And it’s our number one job in life to remember that!

We simply can’t afford to allow anything to ever make us forget exactly who we are. Because remembering that is what reminds us to have faith in our abilities, it’s what helps us believe in ourselves. Nothing gives us more confidence then remembering exactly who we are and living our lives as such.

We control our own thoughts. We decide our own actions. We control our own destiny.

“There is a basic law that like attracts like. Negative thinking definitely attracts negative results. Conversely if a person habitually thinks optimistically and hopefully, his positive thinking sets in motion creative forces – and success, instead of eluding him, flows toward him.”  -Normal Vincent Peale

Remember who you are. “Don’t lose faith. Promise yourself that you will be a success story, and I promise you that all the forces of the universe will unite and come to your aid…”

Love to you all and I’ll be back to post again Monday night. Have a gloriously long holiday weekend everyone!

Always loved this quote by C.S. Lewis:
““It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship. . . There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations — these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit — immortal horrors or everlasting splendors. … Next to the blessed sacrament itself, your neighbor is the holiest object presented to your senses.”
    — “The Weight of Glory”

Wow, I needed to hear/read this. Life can be such a downer sometimes.

Just this morning I reminded myself that this life, this pain is only temporary.
