A Week To Promote Peace and Positivity

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend!  Welcome back!!

This is a monumental week for the world as the United States undergoes the transition to new leadership. I believe this week can down in history in one of two ways – it can either go down in history as having been a week to be remembered for the way people came together despite all their differing views and opinions and made a decision to work together to create peace and positivity toward one another moving forward, or it can go down in history as having been a week of anger and ugliness and a period we will all look back someday and be ashamed of.

If we want to make the world a better place we have to start by respecting others. We have to stop yelling and start listening. We have to choose to be willing to try and understand one another’s views, even if they are different than our own, and then after learning the other person’s views, if we disagree it is imperative that we learn how to do it without being disagreeable.

Just imagine how much better the world would immediately be if people focused their social media on promoting what they love rather than bashing all that they hate. How much better would our world be?! So much nicer…

In my experience you never change anything by fighting with someone. You change things when you love someone. That is the very best way for people to get their messages to resonate. It’s also the best way to help others have the ability to see things your way.

Here’s hoping for a week of peace and positivity!

If we could all find it in our hearts to practice Luke 6:31 and extend it to Hebrews 13:16 and finally Philippians 2:14-16 the world would be transformed. I don’t think everyone got the memo though. 🙁
