Angels We Have Heard On High

Tonight I had the opportunity to attend the most INCREDIBLE Christmas Concert! I was able to go and hear the world famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s annual Christmas Concert. At tonight’s concert they performed The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah. It was the first time I have ever heard that sng performed in person and it was breathtaking! I wish I could share the actual performance in my blog but they prohibit recording during the concert, but they do release a video of the concert each year for the prior year if you ever want to see one. For tonight the best I could do was to find a previous performance they did to share with you so you can hear what I was able to experience in person. As you watch this video imagine them surrounded by gorgeously lit up Christmas trees and lights and then imagine being there to hear it IN PERSON! That’s what I was able to experience tonight. We are talking about every little hair on your arm standing up with chills…truly unreal…you’ve gotta watch it for yourself to understand!

……MIC DROP…..

Seriously though….WOW! I mean honestly there really are no words for that….just amazing.

And as if that wasn’t enough they close out the concert each year with the tradition of singing “Angels From The Realms of Glory” and it always brings the crowd to their feet cheering. Since I can’t play this year’s concert version of the song for you until they release it, I will share one from a past year when David Archuleta was a guest performer singing this song with the choir at the end of the show. It is another WOW!

COME ON!!!!!!!! If listening to those doesn’t get you in the Christmas Spirit then nothing will! It is like listening to a genuine choir of angels and you can picture them there in Bethlehem singing as the Savior was born on that glorious night that changed the world forever….

Have an incredible weekend everyone and may you get into the Spirit of Christmas with all that you do this weekend. Not the shopping spirit, but the true spirit of Christmas…the Spirit of giving and serving and love…
