The choices we are making today and the actions we are taking are all helping dictate what our lives will be in the future. My little brother wrote a song and in the song it has a line that says “Our world tomorrow holds what we’ve done today”. I love that song because it reminds me that the things we do today matter far beyond just today. They impact our future, and whether they impact it for good or bad is dependent on what we do today.

Some people get upset that their life isn’t where they want it to be, but is it possible that the choices you made yesterday are what led you exactly to where you are right now?

Without question there will always be some circumstances in life that are out of our control, but what we do with each day we are given is within our control.  We often waste time feeling sorry for ourselves rather than doing the very best with the circumstances we face. God has a plan and each circumstance is meant to help us learn and grow and improve. So never let your circumstances dictate where it is you are heading in life. Face them with courage and determination. Don’t be afraid. Focus on what you want and then do those things today that will lead you where you want to be tomorrow.

It’s up to us to live each day in a way that is taking us closer to the life we wish to have. We can’t waste time on things of no value or our future will be just that…a future of little value. We need to spend each day productively planting good seeds knowing someday they will bear delicious fruit or fragrant flowers, making our days ahead full of beauty and bountiful blessings.
