What you fill your mind with

“You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are the sound of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner. You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. You are every single day. So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and let the colors fill your mind.” – Unknown

We are what we fill our minds with. The information we choose to learn, and listen to, and view is what will shape our minds and our views. If we want to be positive, happy people we need to fill our minds with happy and positive things. If we want to be successful we need to fill our minds with things that will contribute to our future success, for example, we can spend time reading good books that teach good principles of success, we can listen to motivational talks that will inspire us to do better, and we can spend time with people who we admire and ask them questions the life lessons they have learned. Feeding our minds with knowledge on how to become successful will help to make us a success!

We choose what experiences we take part in and what we do with our time. Every one of the activities we choose to participate in is determining who we are. If we spend our free time doing things of no value we are filling our minds with no value, but if instead we spend our time doing things of great value such as spending time to learn a new skill, or practice a talent, or doing an act of service for someone, or working to accomplish a goal, then we are becoming a collective of those things of great value and feeding our minds with knowledge and charity…that is how we go about filling our minds with color.

Everything we allow into our minds is determining exactly who we are. Only allow that which brings greatness!
