Peace…We can’t turn on the TV news or listen to the radio without hearing daily reports of worldwide tragedies, of acts of hatred and terror, of wars and rumors of wars. There is not much peace to be found in those reports. And on top of that we are all going through our own personal trials, struggling with things like illness, broken relationships, death of loved ones, battling addictions, hurt feelings, broken hearts, regrets for mistakes, unfulfilled dreams…none of which bring us feelings of peace.
I find Easter to be such a meaningful holiday because it always serves to remind me that Peace isn’t something we find on the outside, rather it is a blessing we can experience on the inside. Easter reminds me that Peace is available to us at any time and in even the most difficult of circumstances because of Christ and because of the sacrifices He made for every single one of us. I know that He knows each of us by name and I know that He loves us, no matter who we are, and no matter what shortcomings we have, or what mistakes we have made.
“However late you think you are, however many chances you think you have missed, however many mistakes you feel you have made or talents you think you don’t have, or however far from home and family and God you feel you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s atonement shines.” – Jeffrey R. Holland
What a huge blessing it is to know that as we struggle with life’s difficulties, or we struggle to overcome our shortcomings, there is ALWAYS hope through Christ and there is ALWAYS the gift of Peace available to us because He IS the Prince of Peace, because He DOES love us unconditionally and eternally, and because He is ALWAYS available to us at any time and in any circumstance to give us Peace…we just need to ask…
“Jesus Christ is the light that dispels fear, provides assurance, and direction, and engenders enduring peace and joy.” – David A. Bednar
Happy Easter everyone!

Amen. God created us with a place only he can fill. We will never have inner prace until we fill our hearts with Christ. Peace is an inside job.
